My daughters 333 imac:
Any time an alert sound is made, music is played, or any noise like that, the computer will play the noise and the last second of the sound will keep repeating and will never stop until you play another sound and it will only repeat the very last second of the noise.
Also, if you don't start the computer up with your head phones plugged in then you can not use your head phones anytime during your use of the computer.
In order to use the headphones, you have to plug the headphones into the computer and restart.
But when you do this, you can't unplug your headphones during the use of the computer or no noise will come from the speakers.
This started happening as soon as we installed system OS X
Does anyone recognize these symptoms? Thanks! Kim
