My sister got a used G3 266mhz with 128mb of ram. 3.5 G HD. I reinitialized it using an OS9 disk. The hard drive came up and I renamed it.

Rebooted the computer pulling the OS disk and the hard drive disappeared. Couldn't get it up with the OS disk or with my Nortons.

Is this thing dead?

Any suggestions short of replacing the drive would be real helpful.

Linda
