Shimi/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Fonts
This sounds more like the problems I have, except it seems like the other way round...
Do Macromedia get up to the same bad behaviour ?

Moreover, Classic apps still only see the System Folder/Fonts and there's slight differences, I think, in what Carbon and Cocoa apps see, as well.
OS 9 (and backwards) can only see fonts in the Fonts folder, it's the use of Suitcase etc. that allows the handling of fonts without restarting, but they have to be there to be seen.
