     Maybe looking in the wrong place at the Adaptec site as the firmware
updates for the 2940U2B are on the Apple support site. Here's the url for

     I have a 2940U2B in a Sawtooth which shows up in 10.2.8 but I've
never had a drive attached to it so I have no idea whether it works or
not - I'll have to give it a try.

Hmm, something tells me this card is an Apple OEM!  Why else would 
they have the info. and not Adaptec?
