AFAIK USB2.0 is not supported in pre-X OSes. My B&W has a combo USB2.0/Firewire card and I get the message that the USB port is using too much power and will be shut down each time I boot into 9.2.2. It doesn't even try to gear down to 1.1. However, it runs quite well under Jag. Just make sure you're running X in order to be on the safe side when using USB2.
Question: Does the OHCI vs. EHCI standards come into play when trying to use a USB 2.0 card with OS X? on 04/9/6 10:39 AM, Neil Nelson at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > hi there. i need a firewire card for my b&w 400mhz. > i'm running panther. if i get one with usb2 on it as > well will it be supported? can i use usb2? if not > pretty much any firewire card will work won't it? > thanks > > > > > > ___________________________________________________________ALL-NEW Yahoo! > Messenger - all new features - even more fun! http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
