I have a 450 Mhz rev 2 B&W G3 I bought on eBay with no software. I tried my retail copy of OS 8.5, but it would not work. I have learned that I need G3 specific OS 8.5 for this machine. I have been looking on eBay and found G3 OS 8.5, but I worry that these versions were for models other than the B&W. Will any flavor of G3 specific software work for my B&W? Is there a specific Product Number I should look for?
The B&W requires a minimum of OS 8.6. The necessary hardware support just isn't in 8.5...
