I often type an email in a hurry, and can't be bothered to put in the apostrophes right - even though I know where they should go. There is also the possibility of mistyppping. People still understand the meaning, mostly.


And maybe we should be careful with this sort of discussions? Might scare off some of the many who can't handle English perfectly, but still has something important to contribute. Though I understand that this discussion was only half-serious - for most of the participants.

And language is not a museum, but something continuously changing. Any wordbook or dictionary can only catch a snapshot of this process.

The point of a language is communicating, and there is a wide margin of errors before it becomes unintelligible.

So; back to Macs?     8-)
