Hey y'all:
OK, I guess the second part of my original message
didn't really click.
So again, what's up with the grammar lesson on G-List?
And while I disagree with Larry's linguist friend
(just because something is commonly used doesn't make
it correct; the GPO manual is an excellent example of
this), I don't really think it's something that should
have become such a point of contention on a list about
G# Macs.
This is the last thing I have to say on this topic.
======
About Adobe, I decided that they've developed big
corporationitis ala Microsoft. They ARE the leader in
their field, and they at least produce software that
on average doesn't do weird, unexplained things at the
most inopportune moments, but their decisions
concerning upgrades and providing features for macs vs
PCs doesn't always seem very user friendly.

As I said in a previous mail, I have checked with a
professional on linguistics and BOTH are correct.
' simple as that.

Please don't tell me you're arrogant enough to think
that only
English speaking US nationals and the odd Brit
inhabits these
lists. There are plenty of people with English as
their second
language, me for instance.
What second languages do English speaking US average
Joes
speak ?!?
