Hello,
I use a G3 mt with OS 10.2.8 and an external HD as a backup.
In the past, I have switched to OS 9.2 and used Hard Disk Toolkit when I wanted to mount the external drive to do some backup work.
How can I mount the HD while staying in OS 10.2.8?
Thanks

Sorry about that. It's attached by SCSI.

Ron,

I shut down my computer, turned on my external drive and restarted my computer. The Apple came on the screen, the screen went blank and a note came up-
"Frequency out of range
Try other resolutions"
What in the world is that? I've never seen that before.
I turned off the computer, turned off the external drive and the computer restarted fine.
I've had problems in the past trying to mount the external drive but never this kind of block.
Any suggestions?

Do you have a cloned OS on the back-up drive ?
If so, maybe it's trying to boot from the external and the cloned OS has an incompatible monitor resolution setting.

Just a thought.

Ron
