Hey all,
I am new to the G3.
I recently came into possession of a g3/266 off of
ebay. Fired it up and get the ? mark on startup.
I'm pretty sure I heard the HD spin up.
Hrmmmm.
Inserted a 9.0.4 imac restore cd, -->stock 6gb hd not
on desktop, I go under "startup disk" and the only
disk option is the startup cd.
New pram battery didn't help.

Ideas, suggestions are welcomed.

Also the Drive Setup on the cd did not see the HD. I
have also tried HDTK which saw the HD, but when I
tried to mount the drive, it gave me a internal error -80 (I think that's what it was).

Sorry if you've already tried this.. But have you cracked the case and checked the connections to the drive? And to the motherboard?
When my G3/300 DT arrived in the mail.. I got the same thing, though I knew from the seller it had a fresh install of 8.6 on the drive.
Cracked the case and sure enough the cable had come partially loose from the drive and mobo..
