Hi again,

Thank you so much for your input thus far - just a few other questions:

Does that mean that they come with a new heat sink? Or do I have to use the
old (current) one? Or does the heat sink come into play (meaning needing
replaced) at all at the "lower" spectrum up the upgrade level? (since I
can't afford the highest upgrade, no matter which company I went with) If I
use the current heat sink, is there any problem with that - re: fear of
overheating?

I do like the idea that the Sonnet card does not require any configuring
with settings, etc. (though is that very hard to do or figure out?)

I've done a few things before myself w/Macs but they were also "simple" -
like adding USB ports, etc. to both my old Beige G3 and this Sawtooth. But
never anything with a processor.

I don't remember seeing a ZIF mentioned... sorry to be a newbie, but what
is that and what's the difference from what I am considering?

Lastly, it seems that different vendors sell the exact same upgrade cards
for varying prices. Is there any reason to pay, say $250 for the product
from one company when another offers the exact same thing for $222? Why is
there such variation?

Thank you,
Michelle and Herd
