You shouldn't need XPostFacto as long as your B&W has USB

Previous to Panther I had to use CUPS but Panther has that built in

This and my Epson 900 are shared over my network with (generally) no problems, occasionally the LaserJet won't print and has to be restarted but otherwise OK
