Well, since that's originally made to have Mac compatibility with some Epson printers I say try it. If it doesn't work though, I'd look to another solution, like a jetDirect and putting the printer on the network (which does work just fine with the 5MP and OS X), because it's possible it's tied up with some epson proprietary stuff. They do make other parallel to USB converters, too, Belkin for one.
