Is there a specific URL that seems to be causing the crash?

What plug-ins do you have installed?

iCab uses temporary memory for all of its own tasks. So it is never necessary to increase iCab's preferred memory size for tasks that iCab performs. However -- some plug-ins, like Flash, not only don't use temp memory but they have memory leaks! So if you visit Flash heavy sites, you may have to adjust things a bit.
