Nothing. Not enough research. The Stylewriter and the Canon can use 
either a separate black and a separate color cartridge, or a double 
width, black only cartridge. Yours has the black only cartridge in it, 
and you bought the black cartridge which is used together with a color 
cartridge.

Apple has the Stylewriter manual available as a free download.
