Hard drive size doesn't seem to be much of an issue with that particular

9.1 with 32 MB of RAM.

Anybody here ever transplanted a 5400 or 5500 mobo into a 52xx series

What kinds of mods are necessary? Recommendations?

Pax,

I have accomplished this task several times. It's a good way to breath
new life into an old machine. Just pull the motherboard and swap.
Everything is on the mobo. It just slides in and out. Drawback....
MAX ram is 136, not sure what the max size hard drive would be, but on
the brighter side they use the cheaper IDE/ATA drives. Parts should
be very reasonable, and you can equip these units with internal modems
or ethernet and USB with use of angle adapter.

Hey guys,
I've recently done the same thing... I took a 6500/250 board and threw it into my 5200 case to build an old school gaming station.. Monkey Island, King's Quest, Liesure Suit Larry... That kind of thing.. But upon booting with the new mobo, the entire screen has a yellow tint to it.. Is this fixable? Worth it? Or should I just find a new carcass to stuff the mobo into?
