You can see your external IP by visiting <http://www.dnsstuff.com/> --
scroll to the bottom of the page.
Or if you have a router, it may have a config page that shows it, quite
likely at http://#192#.168#.1#.1, but that's not guaranteed. (Delete the #
from the previous; Maclaunch blocks numeric IPs apparently and bounced my
first try.)


On my ISP, I get a new IP every time I reconnect -- as I turn off the modem
when I'm not around (it gets hot, and it just makes me a target even if the
firewall bounces attacks). It also confuses sites that like to record my
IP, which is good.
