Hmm, I just tried loading my PowerBook install CD. In Disk Utility there is no "Session 1", there is only the device ("2.4 GB MATSHITADVD-R UJ-825") and the volume ("PowerBook Software"). If I select the device then the menu item reads New->Image from disk2. If I select the volume it says New->Image from PowerBook Software. Which do you have to select, or does it not matter?
If it's offered, it is best to select the device, since this is to be a bootable disc.
In my case I just grabbed a CD I had handy, it was a iPhoto backup.
OK, Bruce now you lost me. If he selecst Device ("2.4 GB MATSHITADVD-R UJ-825") won't he get a disk image of the entire hard drive rather than just the Powerbook Install CD as he intended?
And in your example above ( previously with web link pic provided, thanks) your iPhoto backup is a rewritable CD?
Thanks,
Mike
