Hello to all,
I have an old server running OS 9.2.2 with AppleShare IP 6.3. When I connect
to a shared disk with a MacOS X machine, mounting the volume on the desktop,
after 30 minutes, the server connection is disconnected.
I looked everywhere on the AppleShare IP machine to see if I had somewhere a
timout setting but didn't find any.
Is there something to set on Mac OS X because my OS 9 users don't have this
disconnection problem.
Thanks for any help.

Ah Ha!! Something that I may have an answer for.
Check System pref/Network/Modem --- I seem to remember finding the problem there when I was having to babysit a 4 hour download because of the system asking every 30 min. if I wanted to maintain the Internet connection.
I've since reinstalled OSX, and upgraded to 10,2,8 and the remembered question isn't there presently. But have a look there. It wont hurt.
