Try out the OS 9 build of Mozilla, best one I can think of is the Web 
and mail communicator at www.wamcom.org

Under OS 9 or 8.6, it'll require separate drivers.  There is a 
shareware mouse driver that might work out there, but I can't remember 
the name of it right now.
Everything out there seems geared for OS X.
Just like Microsoft who has abandoned their older operating systems.
Venting and frustrated.  Everytime I try and download Netscape 6.2 I am
taken to a download Netscape 7.2.  This does not work with OS 8.6.
Don't use Netscape.  Use the mozilla/wamcom build I mentioned above.  
Netscape has always been bloated for me, unless you really want every 
single on of it's little features.
What did
everyone do 4 or 5 years ago?  I don't see that browsers have improved 
much
just became more top heavy.
If you really can't get one to work, you could probably get by for 
awhile with iCab (www.icab.de)  It's got a small footprint and memory 
requirements, fast loading time (I used it for quite awhile) but to 
tell the truth it's HTML rendering on a lot of websites isn't too 
great.
