[G] Beige wake-up issue

I have a Beige upgraded to G4 433mhz. It runs 9.2 great--really crisp and fast. Problem is, if I let it go to sleep, when it wakes up, it runs suuuuuper slooooooow--like molasses. It won't let me restart or shutdown either.

Any ideas?

I'm hoping to put Jaguar or Panther on it, but I'd like to sort this issue out first.
