Thanks Bruce,

The upgrade price of $100 for a larger laptop HD and a little faster
processor does sound like a decent deal.

The monitor Im planning on ordering the Samsung 710N Ive got 2 in my
office and they are really nice and bright, but not DVI. On sale now at
macmall for only $210 after rebate. A great price for a 17 LCD with a 600:1
contrast ratio; 300 brightness plus 12ms response time.

I wondered about the The MacMall site saying that memory is not a
user-installable item. It seemed odd since its even a self install on lap
tops.

Thanks for the input.
