I agree. It's amazing; even a crappy computer company like Dell makes
their service manuals freely available on their support web site, even
if the machine is still under warranty. Also, if you order a part
(like a replacement motherboard) for an out of warranty machine (even
a laptop), they include a printed service manual along with the part.

It's one of the (many) things I don't understand about Apple as a
company. Perhaps Kyle can shed some light on this.

I do love their computers though!
