10.2 does have disk utility. After starting up from the install disk, go to the top of the screen and click on the install menu. That's where it is. The "read me" on the install disk also mentions this. Mary

<>Hi Tom,
So is it an OS 10.2 install disk with a 10.3 upgrade disk?
Ive never used 10.2 so I dont know what utilities it came with.
If you do end up doing a fresh install I suggest you create an emergency boot CD with Disk Utilities on it so this wont happen again.
Sorry I couldnt be more helpful.
Good luck.

Thanks Geno. My OS-X install disk, which I bought from OWC, is for 10.2 and it doesn't have any Disk Utilities on it. It has a Utilities Folder, but the only thing in it is Disk First Aid.
