I have a a 1GB USB 2 flash drive that I use regularly to transfer
files, on a USB 1 only (G4 OS9) system they will transfer a Gig in
about 40-45 minutes. On my G5 (OSX) USB 1 (via) the monitor port
about the same, maybe a tad faster, when I use the front (on the G5)
USB 2 port it takes about 3-5 minutes.
I just checked and my 1gig Sandisk is USB2 capable; and I have a brand-new
G4 powerbook as my first USB2 capable CPU.
I'll have to test the speeds tonight. I hope I see the speeds you are!
I did not expect the flash media to be able to be written to that quickly.
