Of course, if you're *really* into quality, and want it done right with no
hassles, you can take them to a service bureau, and they'll use their $50,000+
drum scanner on your negatives. It will cost a fair bit more than doing it
yourself, of course. In bulk you might get it for about $20/scan, last I checked
(which was a few years ago).

I have a briefcase full of prints and negatives that I have taken since
'82.
My negative collection is more complete since some filthy relatives
have decided to help themselves to my better prints.
I would like to know the best, most cost effective, way to scan my
negatives into the computer.
At one time, I remember seeing a negative-only scanner at Comp USA, but
the software was Winders only.
Is there a similar product for the Mac or should I just go ahead and
buy a plain old flatbed scanner.
