Hi there everyone on the G-list. I'm not a massive poster on this mailing list. But i do read almost every message that gets sent through :-) Certainly teaches you a lot for future reference.
Well now i seem to have my own little problem and i'm hoping someone out there can help me out.
My dad just got an airport card for his Imac DV 400. Up until now he's been connecting the mac to the internet via ethernet cable, that connects into our Linksys router and then into the broadband cable modem.
We recently bought an Asus wireless access point, and connected it to the Linksys. Providing our PC laptops with wireless connection. The only problem is that the Imac that is now wireless, does not detect the access point like the Laptops do.
To make things clear, this is a PC populated network. We've been connecting the Imac (running OSX 10.3) via DHCP using an RJ45 cable. But we hope this would be a temporary measure, as my dad doesn't wish to have a cable running through his bedroom.
If anyone can help, i'd be really grateful James -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
