Good article. I really do hope Intel and Apple work together to make nice
processors. Maybe theyll use the Altivec? And, Intel has the DEC Alpha team
working for them, who made the first 64 bit desktop processor in the mid 90s.
And Im glad to be reassured that Apple wont become a Dell like company. But I
hope they keep the CPU upgrades easy. And I hope they use and sell ATX
motherboards.

Sounds to me like you're talking out of both sides of your mouth at the
same time!
First you say, "I'm glad to be reassured that Apple won't become another
Dell". Then you say, "I hope they use and sell ATX motherboards". Think
about that a minute........................
If Apple starts using generic ATX motherboards and other generic PC
components, then what will that make them? Right, just another Dell! If
Apple just starts stuffing generic PC parts in Apple-designed cases,
other than OS X, what will make the "Macintel" anything different than a
Dell or a Gateway?
JR (who really hopes that's not what happens!)
