Well Doug I want to thank you for the information you provided, but
right after I sent the e-mail to the list requesting information on my
problem the monitor up and died, this was connected to my 400mhz
PwrMacG4 Sawtooth with 701mb of ram 80 gig WD ide hard drive 64mb vram
running OS X.3.9. So my question was answered instantly. I guess I'll
be
looking for a new monitor. i am now using my B&W rev2 400mhz G3 with
1gig of ram 120gig SATA hard drive 64mb of vram OS X.3.9

Sorry to hear that Brad, those things do happen now and then. I
finally took the plunge and switched from CRT monitors to LCD models.
I like the picture quality much better and they seem to last pretty
good. Not to mention the obvious benefits of being lighter and no high
voltage problems ever!
