Yes the power supplies are the same (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58561). The wattage may be different but it really shouldnt be a problem. The red light on the sawtooth motherboard supposedly means that the motherboard is working fine, so if thats on thats a very good thing. As for your video problem, maybe you should try changing the PRAM battery or resetting the PRAM. And as always make sure all connections are good. Just out of curiousity, are you using a Rage Pro 16MB AGP card?
Chris BTW you can modify an ATX PS (I did) and use that if you want to be using a lot of internal drives (like I want to). otherwise the blue g3 PS is fine. I was thinking about using the PSU from an ATX case I have, in fact using the case. I really like the BnW case though. I'm using the Rage 128 PCI card, not AGP. Is this known to have probs? I was thinking about trying to find someone open today to see I could grab a cheap AGP card to flash. The mobo came with no PRAM batt in it, but I'll try the cuda/cudo whatever switch to see if that works. Thanks a lot for the help, much appreciated.
