No. In this case I doubt you could even if you wanted to.
FYI, initializing a disk means to erase everything and start over,
doesn't apply here.
But I recall I ran into the same problem. Fact is, if you want
compatible files, you need to tell the provider you will be dealing
with the files on a Macintosh computer. Some stores are silly enough to
think all you'll ever want to do is stick it into your DVD player or
Kodak player and run a slide show. So, you may well have to take the
film back and have them burn a normal disk of TIFF files.
But don't give up just yet. Try dropping it onto the QT Player app icon
and see what happens.
