In other words, you would utilize all that Cat 5 cable throughout your house and plug it right into the Clearwire modem (using a router of course).

Anand,

Clearwire is not the same as airport type wireless. With Clearwire, the modem you receive connects by signal to a tower somewhere near you. All you do is plug your computer into the modem. Granted, if you have several computers you want hooked up, you would need a basic router, but that's it. Then you just plug the computers into the router via ethernet cables.

Not all areas have Clearwire.

Dave

So I've been reading Boardband Reports and although I do not have an answer yet, I may soon. Wireless is not a cost effective option for me as we have several computers on-line none of which have an airport card or something similar. My house already has Cat. 5 cable all though it. Thanks, but a better modem is what I'm really looking for.

 Thanks,
 Anand
