Hey Clark and anyone else who may reply to this query, I have found the
reason for not being able to reboot into OS X from the OS 9 drive to
the OS X drives. The SATA card is not supported in any OS below OS X.
Thanks everyone for your help. It looks as if I will have to put my OS
9.2.2 on one of the SATA drives and take the ATA drive out and use it
in
something else perhaps my Beige.

I'm sorry to be late to this discussion, however I have a G4 350, AGP
and I have OS X 10.3.9 on one partition of an IBM 60GB drive and 9.2.2
on another partition and I don't have any problems starting from either
one or the other.
