For many years I've used Norton Utilities 6.0.3 and FWB Hard Drive ToolKit
4.5.2 to repair my hard drives, and they've been life savers that have
always done the job. I'm late to OS X, and would like to know what the
equivalent utilities are for maintaining your hard drives---especially since
Jaguar is as problematic as I'd thought it would be on my machine, and
Apple's disk utility program just goes through the motions when repairing
bad nodes. ProSoft's Drive Genius has the best combination of tools similar
to what I've been using, but I can't get it to load and setup although it's
advertised as Jaguar compatible. Any recommendations for OS X disk
utilities that work? -Steve
