I've tried numerous applications for sound over the past year, but
none seem to work well. I tried out Skype, and discovered the

Does anyone know a good set of stereo headphones with a mic, that
would work with my B&W? Recommendations? Especially for inexpensive
sets?
The built in mic input on most or all Power Macs takes a high level
(1V) signal whereas most mics put out a low level signal (1-10 mV).
So your mic might be working just fine but the signal is too low.
You need a mice pre-amp to boost the signal high enough. Griffin
Technologies had something that did it IIRC.
