Is PayPal safe to use? Any experience? And what about Kagi?
I've used it for a couple of years now, buying and selling the odd item on the Swaplist, I've used Kagi (only buying) for a long time (I think Kagi was one of the first, if not the first online shareware payment facilitator...) never a problem with either. Both are very convenient from my point of view.
Paypal has a reputation of being more aggressive protecting the the buyer than the seller, which is where most of the complaints I've ever seen arise, freezing sellers accounts upon a complaint. You'll find folks who are virulently against PayPal over this, but there really isn't any other alternative, certainly not one as well known.
