I've read reports of people putting the drive in the refrigerator
freezer for 20 minutes before trying to remove data, as a last resort.
Sometimes worked, sometimes didn't.
Yeah this indeed the last resort, worked for me with a dead drive to
save some data.
If one wants to do this, don't forget to insulate the drive in some
plastic to make sure no moisture gets into the HD (condensation).
