A little off topic perhaps, but it is a problem on my B&W.
I needed to open a terminal window and become a super-user. I was prompted
for a password and rudely informed it wasn't the right password. What's up
with that? When I set up the system, I used my password.... the only
password I =ever= use and it isn't the right one???
Is there any to set up a password that I know and use?
Thanks,

Amanda,
Depending on how you set up your system, it is possible you have
never configured a superuser password. In fact, to access the root
account on an OS X box, it is not necessary to ever configure a
superuser password.
Just make sure you are using "sudo" instead of "su" and enter your
account password when prompted.
And you can use "sudo -s" in place of "su" (to have continuous SU
status instead of just a line at a time). That way you can do some
real damage. :)
