I have a 6GB drive that I am trying to get to work on my G4. Whenever
I try to use it, my computer does not try to boot off my main hard drive
with OS X on it. I get the missing system folder icon that you see with
OS 9 when youre missing a system folder.
The master drive is set to master and is at the end of the cable. I
dont know what the slave setting for this is. I assumed it was the
second jumper from the left but that is what is not working for me. So
if anyone knows the slave setting for this drive (Quantum Fireball ST
out of a beige G3) please share. It seems Maxtor has bought the Quantum
harddrive division and there seems to be no support for this drive.
Thanks
Chris P
