I've only tried setting up one remote printer, but I'm having super success printing to a printer on my LAN via TCP/IP using the CUPS drivers for the printer ( Samsung ML1740) with drivers from www.linuxprinting.org and cupsd from www.cups.org (cups is part of OS X but I installed the newer version and things are fine so far). worth looking there perhaps to see if there are troubleshooting tips to use You could check for tips or ask a question at www.macosx.com-- free, very good OSX tech support.>> Thanks Brian here's the setup. The AFP is AppleTalk LAN: Canon ImageRUNNER 600 (B/W copier) Ricoh Aficio 6513 (color copier) GCC XL20/1200 (B/W laser printer) Canon ImagePROGRAF W6200 (large format Inkjet) All connected to a 16 port Asante 7000 Ethernet switch with eight other Mac's (not all Mac's print to all devices). And then throw in a SMC 7004VBR router to the mix for the WAN. This all played well together until a cloned my hard drive to a newer larger one. (See my previous post) I will check www.macosx.com as you suggest. Perhaps there is an easier fix than an archive and install.
