Ubuntu uses ext filesystem. A prefpanel that enables OS X to mount your
linux partitions can be downloaded here:
EXT2 FS:

Well, I finally installed Ubuntu yesterday, on a 2GB SCSI drive
attached to an ATTO 2930. I think it took about 2 hours. But it was
certainly worth the wait. It comes with a great GUI, and enough
programs to keep me happy for a while. It comes with an image editor,
FireFox, Open Office, and an immense amount of screen savers. Also
comes with about a dozen games, including Connect 4. However, when
dragging windows around, the graphics seem bit glitchy.
Anyway, I originally formatted the drive as UFS. However, the
installer reformatted it, and now the drive is not recognizable by Mac
OS X. I dont know what format the drive now is, anyone have any ideas?
And any ideas on getting Mac OS X to recognize it?
Hey anyone know how to find system info (bus and processor speed) in
Linux? Anyway, I got some extra CDs. If a bunch of people want I can
send a CD or 2 out and it can get passed around.
Thanks
Chris P
