Basically, they're looking for Windows hosts with viruses, trojans and backdoors installed.

I think ISPs are getting a lot more observant and proactive lately. It's about time.

I've got a script that watches my logs for port 22 dictionary attacks, etc, adds the bad guy to hosts.deny, sets up a file that I email out to the abuse contact for the domain. I get a real reply about 1 in 5 times, saying thanks for the help and they've nuked the account/ fixed the host/whatever, and almost always an automated response indicating they will deal with it but likely not email me further . Well except for China and ex-Soviet-block countries, which are pretty much all blacklisted by my hosts.deny by now anyway.
