Hi!
I would throw it out in the trash like I did with mine, and purchase a
real printer. Never any problems with an HP, nothing but problems with
my Epson.

A five-year-old inkjet is pretty old as inkjets go, so my money is on

ya. Epsons especially seem to clog'n'die.
George, before you give up on the printer... Forget the software.
Every Epson printer can be triggered into running its diags and head
cleaning cycles with a key-press sequence. Use that. Check the docs.
Also try replacing all the cartridges. Some of the Epsons have
"timers" in them - they refuse to print (spew blank pages) if one of
the carts is more than 6 months old.
I've had Epson printers clog up then require a dozen cleaning cycles
or more to even begin printing spare lined tests.
Our current Epson C60... drives me nutz. We MUST print at least one
page every other day. If we don't, it takes four or five cleaning
cycles to come back to live. POS.
I miss my old HP DeskWriter. That puppy just kept working...
