    You would have to get a mac rom in the card before the taping procedure
would even be necessary - and then only if it's a 8x agp card. Apple
'borrowed' pins 3 and eleven on the rear of the 2x/4x cards to enable power
for the adc connection - when the 8x configuration came along the same pins
were used as part of the 8x spec. So a 2x/4x mac with the extra adc
connections will not boot with any universal 8x card installed - unless the
contacts reserved for adc are isolated or removed.
    With the pins taped you can shoehorn a flashed Radeon 9800 Pro or XT
into a Sawtooth 2x slot - and off you go....whoa!
