I agree with this probably being a ram issue. Especially if it is
crashing when installing OSX, this is one of the signs of bad ram. Had
the exactly same thing happen with my Sawtooth. Strip out all the ram
except one known good stick, and reinstall.

Try stripping out all cards and all but one stick of ram. You may have
a bad
stick, you could have more than one bad stick, or it could (and very
likely
is) something altogether unrelated to ram. See if you can get your
hands on
an Apple Hardware Test disk for that specific machine. Go slow on
yellin at
the seller. There's plenty of room for them to be acting in error
rather
than falsely. I sell a lot of stuff and (though I've had plenty of
occasions
when I was in error) I have had some buyers really embarrass
themselves by
reacting in haste. Also, try re-setting the logic board. I don't
remember if
the DA has a cuda switch, but most model have some routine for
re-setting
the logic board.
