Can't do that. This is analogous to trying to open a jpeg file in Illustrator so you can reshape the outlines ;-)

A Midi file is the audio equivalent of a vector graphics file.

A recording is the audio equivalent of a bitmap graphics file.

There may be 'autotrace' program to convert recordings to MIDI, but they'll be uniformly bad, I would think.

The only way to get what you want would be if the entire band was using MIDI capapble instruments, and you captured the MIDI stream as they played.
