Yes I was using X-Plane on a 600MHz Sawtooth with my 9200. When using
certain planes I would get mostly haze. I now have 1GHz and no not have
that problem. And my monitor res only goes as high as 1024x768, which
is the min for X-Plane, good for frame rates, not so good for detail,
but I dont think its bad.

FYI, I asked the author of X-Plane if dual processors would help. He
said all the second processor would be used for is loading scenery. So,
if youre looking for new hardware, a faster single processor may be
better (though loading scenery ahead of time can be important).

And also, I think the newest version of X-Plane will get better frame
rates than 7.x. If you want to try it out and downloading 300MB doesn't
take too long for you, you can get an 8.x demo off the website.

I also highly recommend Space Combat also from Laminar Research. The
download is only like 3MB and it accurately simulates space travel. And
reading the description of the different engine technologies is some
good reading.
