Well Lonnie, you were correct. That fixed my problem.
I found it odd that most people encountered this problem when they
updated to iTunes 6.0.2. I did not have any problems with 6.0.2, but
did with the recent 6.0.3 update.
For what it is worth, the suggestion (web link above) of moving iTunes
from the Applications Folder to the Desktop, did allow me to run Disk
Utility. However, when I put iTunes back inside the Apps Folder, it
broke Disk Utility again. Removing all of the iTunes packages, except
iTunesX.pkg and iTunesPhoneDriver.pkg, from the Library>Receipts Folder
fixed the problem for me.
