I've overclocked my Rev.1 on three different occasions. I believe there's a firmware update that needs to be done only once on the B&W rev.1's in order to go beyond 400 MHz. I remember doing this to my B&W before I was able to oc the thing. I believe I got the firmware update from the OWC website. There are two ways to overclock the CPU that I know of. The first is with a regular G3/G4 ZIF and you use the jumpers on the mobo near the CPU in order to oc it (check out xlr8yourmac.com for more info on the configurations for overclocking a B&W -- you'll also need a bunch of small jumpers since the one on the mobo is a block). The second way to do it is if your ZIF has jumpers on it like the ones Daystar Technologies sell. This way you don't need to touch the mobo jumpers and it's easier to change speeds. Another factor that comes into play is the CPU itself. Some ZIFs just don't like going over a certain speed. The first time I oc'd my B&W, I overclocked my stock G3/300 ZIF to 400 using the mobo jumpers. I believe I could have gone higher, but I didn't want to take the chance. The second time I oc'd the B&W, I had just installed a spanking brand new XLR8 G4/300 ZIF (yes it was 300 MHz, don't ask me why it was like that but that's how it was sold). I oc'd it to 400 right away and it worked great. Then I tried going beyond this and the system crashed. Luckily the crash was minor as it went back to normal once I dropped it back to 400. The last time I oc'd was when I replaced the G4/300 with a G4/500 and I oc'd it to 600 MHz where it purrs along just fine to this day. I've heard people say don't go over a 100 MHz increase.
