To clarify, for the people that will want to try Acid3... The Acid Tests are fairly good standards testing suits. All you have to do to run them is visit this url: <http://acid3.acidtests.org/> Currently, only two browsers fully pass Acid3: WebKit and Opera. They both announced they passed on March 26. The full public release of Opera was done a few days later. But Apple totally dropped the ball. Since March, there have been *two* releases of Safari - and because they didn't bother to include an up-to-date build of WebKit, Safari still fails Acid3! Pitiful, Apple. >so to my mind there is no better browser available EXCEPT for the >lack of plugin support in Safari. There are plug-ins and InputManagers for Safari. Nothing very exciting, IMO, tho. Is there some specific feature you're looking for? I use an adblocker called SafariBlock. <http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/27897> Amazing how much faster browsing is when you kill off most flash content! - Dan. -- - Psychoceramic Emeritus; South Jersey, USA, Earth --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
